Great John Street Hotel weddings are always amazing! It’s such a great venue. Giannina and Matt got married at St. John’s in Chorlton, Manchester and almost didn’t get married after the priest did a dissappearing act just before Giannina was about to walk down the aisle! After hanging about outside for a while she decided she might as well carry on down the aisle and luckily after a few minutes of waiting around in front of the altar the priest appeared, “Giannina isn’t going to wait for anyone is she!” he mumbled in an almost inaudible Irish drawl. Everyone cracked up and he ended up being one of the most entertaining priests I’ve ever come across. We then moved North from Chorlton to carry on the wedding at the Great John Street Hotel where we were treated to some live music on the rooftop terrace overlooking Manchester.
The Great John Street Hotel wedding venue is one of my favourite venues in Manchester. It’s full of character with it being an old school house dating back around a hundred years and so much thought has gone into the detailing of every corner of the hotel. I spent a few years working next door at Granada TV so I know the place very well, it’s a corner of Manchester close to my heart. Anyway, enough jibber-jabber, here’s the story of their day…
